when I enter my "Nature Made Iron, 65mg" it puts me in red for iron. myfitnesspal gives me 100 for iron daily.. and this vitamin is 361% for 65mg?? .. first I don't know what that means but I don't understand why 1 tablet can make me over my needed amounts?

The "100" that MFP gives you for iron is 100% of your recommended daily value, not 100mg.0

Iron can be difficult for your body to absorb. That's why the supplements provide more than 100% of the daily value, which I think is about 18mg. I wouldn't worry about MFP saying you're "over" on iron.0

I prefer to munch my vitamins
To boost the amount of iron in your diet, try these foods:
Red meat
Egg yolks
Dark, leafy greens (spinach, collards)
Dried fruit (prunes, raisins)
Iron-enriched cereals and grains (check the labels)
Mollusks (oysters, clams, scallops)
Turkey or chicken giblets
Beans, lentils, chick peas and soybeans
Liver
Artichokes
And here's a tip: If you eat iron-rich foods along with foods that provide plenty of vitamin C, your body can better absorb the iron.0 -
thank you for the list of foods & the rest of the info! .. I don't feel like I eat enough of those to get my 100% of iron.. so I just like to take a tablet
but if my tablet is going to put me in red maybe I don't need to log it.... who likes seeing red anyways?
