firstly im aware the subject is a bit verbose but i have a lot of questions  I saw the amazing transformation made by Vismal one of the members on here who lost a significant amount of weight and packed on some muscle and now looks amazing.
I have lost somewhere around 6 stone since last january mostly through cardio and am currently around 153 pounds. He suggested to do a 5x5 weight training routine on his thread namely this one http://www.muscleandstrength.com/workouts/jason-blaha-ice-cream-fitness-5x5-novice-workout. Would it be worth me adopting this type of routine in the gym if I'm still trying to lose fat - i currently always eat in a calorie deficit - usually 1800 calories or less consumed daily - I want to lose some more fat to lower my bf% (I don't know what it is at the moment but i still have some wobbly bits on my stomach  ) I currently do hiit sprints every other day at 1:2 effort to rest ratio on a treadmill for 8 intervals. Am i best sticking to this until I reach a certain weight? I have no idea what weight I actually am aiming towards I just want a completely flat stomach  it might sound shallow but at 19 years of age I'd love to be able to sun bathe with my shirt off and swim in the pool on holiday and body confidence currently prevents me from doing this because I don't have a flat stomach and have some stretch marks from my dramatic weight loss. I'm not particularly bothered about getting big and muscular at this point this might change in the future but for now I just want to look slim, lean and have I mentioned, have a flat stomach :P my diet consists of oats, fruits, greek yoghurt, poultry, fish, eggs, veggies, beans, sweet potatoes and occasionally nuts and seeds. With all the conflicting weight loss propaganda it would be nice to have a real person who's not trying to sell me something give me some solid advice - I'm only young and have got this far on my own but shifting the last bit of weight and leaning out is seemingly impossible no matter how hard i try. thanks in advance for any help and support, add me if you like also :smooched:

okay number one as a young man you need to eat more than me...I am a 41 year old woman and a mom of a boy your age...
As for the weight lifting you are in the prime time of your life to do it...
Stronglifts is another great program or Starting strength.
I do Stronglifts...but this program is not a "female" lifting program it's a lifting program.
And no start weight training now...you will regret not starting sooner actually.
Just make sure you are getting in lots of protien...this helps repair the muscle while lifting and lifting help preserve muscle mass (what you have left)
Now to the body issues...stretch marks...they fade...my son has them too from growing fast up and some from weight training and some from gaining weight...I have them from the same reason and being pregnant...
They fade with time and you need to get to the point where you just don't care it's part of you...
Never regret where you've been if you like where you are....where you were got you to where you are now.0
