Fastest Way To Get Thin Arms?

I just bought a new dress for an event in about a month and a half, but the arms are way too tight. What can I do to decrease the size of my upper arms as fast as possible? I am desperate and will do whatever you can throw my way. I've been working on my arms with my weights for about 10 minutes a day every day for the past couple of weeks and havent seen much progress.
*Note: The only equipment I have are a pair of 8lb weights.

Unfortunately area targeted weight loss is impossible. Take the dress to a seamstress/tailors they might be able to alter it for you. Have fun at your event.0

Yeah, you can't spot reduce, unfortunately. That's a straight-up myth. Get a new dress or get it altered, and have a good time!0

Lipo would get the fat out, but then you would just have flabby skin hanging. Of course at that point they could do skin removal, but that would take more than a month to heal.
Then there's just accepting that whatever you wear will/won't fit you when the day arrives. Best to make a back up dress just in case.
As mentioned, you CANNOT spot reduce any body part with exercise. Genetics will determine how fat comes off your body.

The fastest way to get thin arms (without lipo) is to break them and have them atrophy in casts. Not recommended. :ohwell: The folks saying you can't spot reduce are correct, of course.
In a month and a half, given the amount of weight your ticker indicates you have to lose, you may be able to drop around 15-20 pounds safely. You might see some difference in your arms from losing that much weight; no guarantees, but it's possible. You do that by creating a caloric deficit.
Those dumbbells aren't going to make your dress fit... I'm sorry. :frown:0 -
Dang Guess I'll be wearing a different dress
Thanks for the help, everyone!0 -
You CAN try continuing what you have started and continuing to lose weight at a responsible level. Weight does TEND to leave extremities first before the middle sections (hips and waist)... It is possible that you may get lucky and the natural progress will affect the desired areas.... Also, weight lifting does help (will not spot reduce the fat BUT it will tone the underlying muscles and assist in the fat burning process by improving your lean body mass). As others have said though, you will likely need a new dress for this occasion BUT don't discard this dress... It will be a great goal dress for future events.0
