Rice

So I know people say White Rice is bad for you and Brown rice is so much better but does it really matter??
Can I still eat White Rice and lose weight?

    I've read so much about white versus brown rice, how one might be healthier for you, etc etc. I personally eat both, I just mix it up every now and then, I also eat quiona on occasion, whatever I feel like putting in the rice cooker that week.

    You can lose weight theoretically by eating any food, just eat less calories than you burn. Rice is kinda calorie intensive, so just make sure to limit yourself to correct servings.

    I eat white rice around 5 times a week and still lose weight. You just have to be careful of the portion size. I usually eat around 180-250 cals worth of white rice as a portion.

    There is absolutely no nutritional benefit to eating brown over white, apart from a small amount of fibre, which if you are eating a balanced diet already is not necessary.

    Enjoy the white rice - it's actually healthier!
