Hitt Training

How can you calculate the calories you burn during the hitt-training process? I know how to for my cardio but not for weight lifting. I know you can burn just as much or even more when lifting weights, at least I have been told? Is this true and how can I calculate the weight lifting cals burned? I have been told to do more protein and healthy carbs when trying to gain more muscle mass. But on the other-hand, I have been told to eat less cals for losing weight. I need to lose a lot of weight but maintain and even gain muscle mass. How can I do both? I have to maintain muscles for a medical purpose so doing no muscle strengths is no possible but it is very important to lose this weight. I have lost a lot of weight but now I am at a breaking point and nothing is working. Please help.
