Hello
I am trying to lose around 25lbs by July 5th (special event) I am 120/122 approx now and was eating 800 calories a day for a week, i lost a couple of pounds but I gained it back by eating normally. I want to lose this weight badly but I don't want to starve myself, how many calories would you recommend? I am 5,2.5 and 120lbs I am also 19. I workout 5 days a week mostly walking twice a week for 5 miles and 30mins on the exercise bike the other days.
Thank you all

I'm sorry sweetheart, but you need to understand that what you are trying to do and how you are doing it are both unhealthy and dangerous.
At 5' 2.5" tall, and 122 lbs, you are right in the middle of the normal weight range for your height. Dropping below 105 places you in the underweight range, and at 95 lbs you are dangerously underweight.
Eating 800 calories a day is dangerous, especially since you are burning nearly that 5 days a week. You are getting negative calories and this is bad news. At your age and weight you are doing serious damage to your body. Bodies are still developing and growing at 19 and you need to be eating properly and enough. At 120 lbs, you do not have fat reserves to burn and you are actually burning muscle and organ tissue. Stuff will basically stop working properly and you will get very sick.
Trying to lose 25 pounds in 6 weeks when you only weigh 120/122 lbs is unrealistic. A loss of 2 lbs per week is healthy for very obese people, not those whose weight is normal like you. A 5 lb loss is still a lot at your current weight, but you would still be looking at closer to a half pound per week to be healthy and strong. At 115, you would be at the lower end of normal weight.
BUT, if you want to look trimmer and crazy fit, I would suggest you consider working your muscles with weight lifting (you will not bulk up) and calisthenics. That is what the really great super models do, including those who work for Victoria's Secret. And they eat, eat, eat because they need the fuel to the workouts to get their amazing bodies. I can get you some links if you are interested.
I know this is not what you wanted to hear, but you deserve the truth. The young women of America are being deceived about beauty and worth, and many who are dangerously thin are still unhappy.0 -
I totally agree withe the statements made by APRothgeb. I think you need to change your priorities. Why do you want to be that light? If you want to get leaner, I suggest that you track your body fat % instead of weight. You can get pretty lean and not lose much weight. Instead of doing lots of cardio, do weight lifting. This will work your muscles and give you the toned look that most people want. You should definitely be eating more than 800 cal/day. Severe underrating and lots of cardio is a recipe for disaster, and I don't want you to have those problems.
