Could use a accountability partner.. 55 yrs old starting over AGAIN... need to lose 100lbs shooting for one year... been overweight since i was in 7th grade and i really want to be successful this time.

Take it slow, make a few changes that you can live with. Get used to them. Make a few more changes. Get used to them. And so on. Also, find some hobbies that are active and that you can enjoy and get at it. And, ditch a few less than healthy hobbies. Or at least slow them down a bit.
Example, and don't throw things, but cigar smoking. I still have a few very good Cubans that are tucked away but I smoke them rarely these days. That said, I'll give up my Scotch when they pry it out of my cold dead fingers.0
