Gday

Thought it is about time to say hello. so Hello!

Been using the tools of MFP for almost a month and have to say I love how it makes it easier to track my calories and macros. I also have a scale that updates my weight automagically which is nice. I'm mainly measuring fortnightly for my own sake.

I'm one of these basket cases where I "knew" how to be healthy, lean and train but was in a physical position due to injury and poor pain management to really give a *kitten* about it - which I guess could be partially mental however my body was in a place where if my heart rate got going, the reconstructed area of my elbow would start pulsing in pain with my heart beat. NASTY! I was lean in my twenties and early thirties and looking to get back there. After seeing some awesome doctors overseas, I have the pain issues under control and I've been back at Jiu Jitsu and weight training since January.

Originally from Australia but now living in the US for the last few years rather than just working here for long periods of time. 326lbs at my heaviest and passed 50lbs of weight loss yesterday for 276. I know a DXA scan is accurate but not perfect, but it shows that I have put on around 8lbs of LBM in the transformation so far. Looking to get back to a lean physique which was usually around 222-225lbs at 9% BF.

Anyway, enough about me - Hello again! and if you wan't some additional encouragement or motivation I can provide it in spades (and take the compliments on my journey.

Cheers!

Thank you! - yes, injury pain, can quite literally be a pain in the *kitten*/*kitten*. I chose not to go the continual pain med route which didn't help with the weight.

There are definitely some scary meds out there, probably best to have avoided them.
