Please explain

Ok so a calorie deficit = weight loss and exercise = health and fitness...right? That is what I am getting from the message boards. But surely exercise helps us to lose weight a little faster right? I mean you do burn calories in cardio and lifting.

Yes cardio will help create a bigger deficit but...(always a but right) when you exercise you need to refuel yourself and fuel your next workout so you eat more...

The only way you lose faster is if you don't eat your exercise calories back (while using NEAT Method) or Calculate your TDEE at Sedentary.(which is the wrong way of doing it)

The only way to lose weight is to eat at a calorie deficit, you have to burn more than what you take in, period. If you exercise you burn more, so many say you have to eat more but I don't think so. If you want to build huge muscle then yes, you have to eat more. But if you want to lose weight, then eating at a deficit and increasing your carb intake on the days you are exercising are sufficient.

It's turned into a science and there are so many plans and ways to do it. But one thing is sure, know what and how much you eat and stay active. You will live a healthier life.
