Hey, my name's Emma. I've struggled with my weight for a long time, never being exceptionally big but I think I've just managed to carry it in the right places! Unfortunately over the last 2 years of university I've managed to gain 2.5st or so, with 1st of it being since around this past Christmas. I started anti-anxiety medication in February and think that may have been the main contributor to this big jump of a weight gain! Also in January I had an episode of DKA, my bloods have never really been badly managed (HbA1Cs ranging from 8% to 9.2% over the last two years), which I felt was an unexpected event and has added to my concern over my health in general. I'm 5'6 and I'm hoping to try get between 10st and 11st, to what doctor's would call a healthy BMI, currently at 14st1lbs.

I keep my diary open to friends for you to see what I eat, and I love to snoop in other people diaries too for meal ideas so I would love to get some more friends. I think the more involved I become with the community the harder it will be for me to ***** out of this lifestyle change!

Edit: The filtered word is slang for pusillanimous!
