Hello everyone. Ive been reading the boards for a few weeks now and have finally decided to post. Hopefully I will get it right because im not too computer smart. Anyway, Im looking the big 50 in the face and have decided to get my butt in gear. I have lost weight, gained weight and lost it again and im tired of right the merry go round. The last 3 weeks have been tough because after 29 years of smoking ive finally decided to quit also. Im looking forward to learning how to finally take care of myself.

All the best

All the very best. I wish I was looking 50 in the face. I can' say again because that would put me to double. very tiny giggle. Some of us are facing substantially higher numbers but as you say it is never too late. Improved health makes getting older not quite so fearsome.

First of all, congratulations on quitting smoking. I've been there so I know how hard it can be, I've been smoke free for almost four years now and I will assure you that it will get better.

There's a lot of great information on here so have fun absorbing it all. If you're looking for buddies to keep you on your toes feel free to add me. - Cheers and best of luck! - Cheers.
