Cardio because of sedentary job

So I started a new job recently and it's a typical office job. So I am walking far less than my old job. I go to the gym 4-5 days a week and do three days of lifting with 20/30 mins interval cardio and then a day or two of cardio and abs/Pilates. I have gained 5lbs. It's not all muscle as my pants are tighter. I don't eat all the work food because I can't eat sweets for health reasons much and I don't eat meat. Am I just going to have to gym every day doing cardio to make up for the lack of physical activity? I'm pretty sure that's what it is because I am eating about the same amount or calories when I worked my old active job where I was losing.

Doing less activity while eating the same will either slow down weight loss or maybe even cause weight gain.

Picking up an exercise regime will cause significant water retention while the body gets used to the new activities.

Don't fret too much over temporary gain.
