how much are you trying to gain?

are you going to be lifting weights during this time period? IF yes, how often and what kind of program..?

Depends. I was underweight from an undiagnosed disease (celiac/gluten intolerance). This disease damages your body's ability to absorb calories and basic nutrition. My goal was to get my weight up ASAP. I loaded up on calcium for bone loss(yogurt, ice cream etc...) but the goal was to get myself to a healthy weight then fine tune from there.

I would recommend a good 7000 cal suplus per day for the next week or so. Don't exercise any extra than normal. That should do it.

If you aren't lifting then you aren't going to be gaining any muscle, just fat. So may as well just put it on straight away.

You can calculate your TDEE, type in TDEE calculator into Google and enter your info and eat above the number they give you.
No you don't need 7000 per day.
I'm 5'3 and I gain slowly around 2200 per day. And My TDEE is 1900 calories.
Are you going for a pound a week or 1/2 a pound per week?

ETA: No nutrition doesn't matter if gaining a few pounds is your only goal. But, still you should always get your appropriate serving of fruits, vegetables, protein, dairy, starches... all that stuff as a general rule of nutrition. And also consider weight training.

    I'm going for a pound a week :)

Then you may want to eat 500 on top of your TDEE
    500 calories * 7 days = 3500 extra calories
    3500 calories = 1 pound
So that's one pound per week

How should I add calories? Does it matter where they come from?

It will matter where the calories come from depending in the type of weight gain you are going for.
I would recommend staying clear of refined sugars and any highly processed food stuffs.
You can rarely go wrong with veg, fruit, meat and nuts.

if you are not lifting and do not care about body comp/gaining muscle...then eat whatever you want...
