Anyone have a Soda Stream?

You can make it as fizzy as you like. I prefer holding it down once, until it makes a different noise. I read somewhere that three of those were the suggested carbonation but that's too much for me. I'd say start with one push, hold it down for a few seconds (the noise changes when I do it - three seconds maybe), try that and then add more if that's what you want. I love the thing, I love that the drinks stay fully carbonated for several days (I usually drink carbonated beverages just with dinner and have half of the bottle with each meal, so I"m replenishing it after two days but I know it's been fully carbonated for four or five when I first played with it).0

So you attach the bottle with fresh water, then you "pump" the thing numerous times until it makes a weird noise. You want to continue pumping until you hear the noise 3 times, then you can detach the bottle and mix your flavouring. (Grand total pumps - about 6-7ish...more if you are running out of air and need a refill)
Note - some flavours need less pumps (2 weird noises instead of 3), sometimes when I am running out of "air" I will pump until it makes 4 weird noises instead of 3 for extra.
eta - I do not "hold down" the button. I just push down for about 1-2 seconds which is a "pump".0 -
Took me a while to get it right.
Are you pushing the button down until you get the loud BUUUUUUH noise (lol), I do that about twice (the book says 3 times but that's tooooooo fizzy for me!).
Make sure your water is cold when carbonating - otherwise it tends to cause what I call 'fatter' bubbles lol0 -
^LMAO @ "BUUUUHHHH" noise. True story.0

It should have been fizzy, mine is awesome! Did you pump it enough? I hold the button down until it "HOOONK's 3 times, then leave it there for 30 seconds or so before I unscrew it.0

I have the Soda Stream Source. I should look to see if it has any sort of noise. If not I'm going to trade it for the original one then. Thank You0

i actually have the same issue with mine...i know the diet cream soda i can get it very fizzy..but my other attempts with other flavors..i've had to drink flat ...
is the noise we are describing the one where it sounds like you pushed to long and it sounds like you broke it???0 -

Yes! The BUUUUHHH noise describes it perfectly too. It's all a matter of personal taste so it takes some experimenting. And good point starting with cold water. I remember that in the instructions somewhere. I keep both bottles filled and in the fridge so I'm always good to go.0
