Upped my calories, don't understand?

Hello guys!

So I upped my calories by 125/day and I was expecting to gain weight the first week (which I don't want of course).

I weighed myself this morning and I lost 0.6 pounds.. which is a loss so it's great but I don't understand?

Will I lose more in the weeks to come as my body adjusts and was this poor loss a result of upping calories? Or will I continue to lose only that amount of weight...

Previous weeks I lost about 1.7 lbs a week with 125 kcal/day less..

And no I'm not over maintenance and yes I weigh my food very correctly. But my question is if somebody out there knows what this means? Thank you

You answered your own question. Since you are not eating over maintenance, you will still lose, just at a slower rate than if you take that extra 125 cal deficit. If you're happy with this, sounds great. I like to eat as much as I can and lose slowly. It keeps the binges under control.

Thank you for your reply! The things is I was not eating enough, I was eating about 950 kcal a day.. nog that's 1075 so it's still not enough but I'm slowly upping.

If you are eating that little, you should continue to increase until you are at least at 1200 cal/day. Your body needs fuel to function properly. When you eat too little, your body tries to hold onto it's energy reserves because it is not getting enough energy from food. Keep upping you calories/day slowly and you may start to lose weight more rapidly.

    How are you exercising?
