I got my Bio-Oil last Saturday. The women in my family have decided that it's working! I use it on my face and my sister said that I had a "glow." :blushing: I really like it so far.

I got it a couple of days ago (walgreens $9.99) I'm using on my face and my huge belly stretch marks. These stretch marks are 8 years old so if this can reduce those 1/4 inch map marks ALL OVER my stomach and hips then this may be the best invention ever (and I'm trying it on my boobs that have had stretch marks since I was about 12)
will check in in 30 days!

Ok.. I've been using it for 11 days. The first couple days I was a little worried because it is oil (I already have oily skin). It does soak in like it says & it did not make my face any oilier than usual.... so I continued. After about 5 days not only could I feel the softness in my skin, I could SEE it.

Now earlier this week, I had a pretty good breakout on my chin, not from the product - I get hormonal acne every month... anywhooo - I just wanted to say it didn't help or hinder my breakout.

So far, I am very impressed with the oil. I have used several facial products in various price ranges & have not seen or felt the results as I have with this one.

    Ok good.
I was a bit worried after reading the post before yours.
I'll rub some more on my entire body and face today.
My face has been so dry lately.

    Thanks for the reviews!

I AVOID the face now - I was using it, my facial skin looked AMAZING - however I got one of those nasty under-the-skin-volcano type pimples! I'm still using it on my body though - and the results are still good (I mean, it's not like the stretch marks are gone - they are just looking better)!

Ok... I'm avoiding the face now... *sigh*

    Has anyone used proactive???
I am breaking out so much now that I'm more active and I cannot stand it!
    I don't wear make-up so I don't try to cover it up.

I bought some face wash for my son - it is amazing - I'll get you the name of it when I'm home. All of his friends use it now after seeing his face become COMPLETELY acne free.

I use Clean & Clear Advantage. It is the ONLY thing that keeps my skin clear. I wash in the morning and use the Clean & Clear Advantage lotion, and then use just a facial/makeup remover wipe in the evening and put Bio-Oil on my face. My skin has never ever looked better.

HealthierMe - When I was going REALLY hard core on here (about 2 months in) my face was covered in pimples - nose/mouth/chin area. It was very out of character for me, and I went to see the doctor, and she said it was probably the shift in diet, slight disruption of hormones, and/or toxins leaving the body. It is now cleared up though. I posted on here about it, and SO many women shared similar experiences, but it will clear up!

    Thanks A!
I have good & bad days.
I only have breakouts around my temple areas and forehead.
They do clear up some days but I'm just sick of having zits... I feel like a teenager again but not in a good way. I've been noticing some on my back also.

I think I'll give Proactive a try. Hubbz can use some on his back. He is very self-conscious(sp?) about being shirtless due to pimples on his back.

So, not that this will keep me from using it, but I look up all ingredients of stuff before I use it. I looked at the website:

    http://www.bio-oil.info/en/technical/ingredients

And it says "Bio-oil" is preservative free," however lists BHT (Butylated hydroxytoluene) as an ingredient which is a food and cosmetic preservative. Weird! Maybe BHT is one of those borderline ingredients, but I looked it up on the internet encylepedia, and it says that BHT is being well studied "because of growing concern over synthetic preservatives." And some countries have taken it out of their food supply.

Just another time that packaging isn't exactly easy to read. I might still try it though.

Okay you all might think I'm crazy, but I've used Bio-Oil TWICE and I can already see a difference. My stretch marks(29 year old stretch marks from 2 of my 4 boys weighing in at 10 pounds) are not only less noticeable but my skin is smoother-NO JOKE! I'm thrilled:drinker:

JulieB - I had the SAME experience! Skin looked better almost instantly, and is still looking good - so I can't wait to see what's going to happen in 3 months (as the packaging says). :flowerforyou:

Regarding preservatives and chemicals - it seems that almost everything has preservatives and chemicals. Even the "natural" and "organic" stuff that I browse at the whole foods market has similar ingredients as some of the better regular drugstore brand products. :frown:

I know, it seems like "green" and "natural" are kind of buzz words right now that a lot of companies are putting on their packaging, even if their product isn't that different! :frown:

I am still thinking about using Bio-oil though, I have plenty of stretch marks to get rid of! Is it safe if you are pregnant? (I am throwing away the birth control pills this week, ekkkk!)

If you use shampoo I would assume this prodcut is safe!!! It is over the counter, and the ingredients are much less offensive than any of the major lotion brands on the market!

Very exciting about having another baby! Mine are almost 2 yrs apart (less a week) and having the second was the best thing we've done! (since having the first of course!).
