Perception, with and without glasses

This sounds strange, but I find that when I look at myself in the mirror, I look slimmer when I don't have my glasses on or my contact lenses in. Once I put on glasses or contacts, correcting my vision, I find I look bigger, and even less toned. Then I find myself wondering which is the "real" me.

Does anyone else find they perceive themselves as bigger or smaller with and without glasses...or am I just nuts?

    How strong is your prescription? I ask because I have a really strong prescription, and find that it can distort things a little bit, espically when I'm wearing glasses.

    i used to experience something a little similair. When you can't really see something i guess your mind is free to see what it wants lol.

    My prescription isn't that strong. But I do wear progressive bifocals. Don't know if that distorts my vision...or if it's just my self image that is distorted.
