Ready For Some Friends / Support Again

Hello all. I've been a part of Myfitnesspal for years. I've done well with it, and not done well with it at other times. Last September, my dad was diagnosed with cancer, and I went through some hefty emotional times, and have been on medications for depression (which has always been there but I had mostly handled before). It contributed to me gaining a lot of the weight back that I had lost, and I was actually so ashamed of what I perceived as my failure that I deleted my account.
Things have taken a better turn. My dad had surgery and has been having chemo treatments, and so far he looks like he might be in the clear. I've been logging my foods and doing the C25k and walking pretty consistently, but the thing I've missed about the site is the friends that I used to have.
I am 5'8, and I weighed 266 pounds at my heaviest. While on this site, I lost down to 198, but I have gained back to 254. I really don't want to continue this pattern. I have lots of nice pants I'd like to get back into!
If you have room for another friend, please add me!
Thank you all.

You took the first step. Thru the darkest of times you need to always remind yourself your worth this fight. At my heaviest I was 280 lbs. Food was my comfort and best friend. Ive been on my journey 4 years now and realize theres no finish line and never will be, I fight daily to stay in my "happy" range, yes Ive went above that happy range due to old habits die hard, Im a food addict, its gotten easier but its always going to be a fight.
Happy to hear about your dad, will pray for him. I lost my grandfather the beginning of April to lung cancer, he went within weeks of being diagnosed. March was hard for me and I went back to old ways.

Feel free to add me I started a little bit more than you were at and have had my struggles. I went from hating running to loving it. If you need anything let me know0

I've been on MFP for 10 weeks now. I have been around 260 for quite a few years now due to stress in my life with a bad marriage that has ended. I am always looking for friends to help me stay accountable and for motivation. Feel free to add me. I log on every day and if you need me, I'll be there!0
