I'm currently logged into MFP as 1500 calories per day and I eat any exercise calories.
I've just synced my new fitbit and it's reading as I've eaten 1300 calories today with only 17 left. How do I get fitbit to have the same calories set as per MFP. I know the two are connected because my food for the day and exercise that I'd logged on MFP is on the tracker on fitbit.
Thanks

My honest opinion: only use MFP for food/calories. The Fitbit app is confusing at best.
Here is what I do: I have my Fitbit linked to MFP and for MFP chose lightly active. I also enabled negative calories from Fitbit. What this does, when I sync my steps & refresh to MFP - if I'm not active enough (based on what MFP expects based on me saying I'm Lightly Active) then it adds calories to my food calories. And I make sure to move enough to 'earn' a calorie subtraction.
Such as for right now: Food 1264. (Will be higher, I've pre-entered meal intentions for dinner but will have to fine tune quantities later.) Exercise 31. Net 1295. I need to move more. But I have a desk job, and though I get in a walk at lunch time I will get in more steps/activity tonight.
Generally as long as I clear at least 10k-12k steps, I am active enough that my Fitbit gives me extra calories to burn.0 -
Hey guys,
I just joined this site, and I LOVE my fitibt. I did sync it to this, but I don't see it in my exercise anywhere. I have recently done a sync on my fitbit and MFP shows that I have fitbit installed and my fitbit page shows that I'm sharing with MFP. Where can I find the data?
Thanks!0 -
In my food diary (looking at the app right now) it shows under Cardio Exercise as Fitbit calorie adjustment.
Note: I don't log any exercise/activity, though I would if I were to do something non-step related like riding a bike.0 -
Thanks, Staci, that's really helpful. Apparently I meet the 10k just doing my morning run so I'm pretty sure I will be okay. Will definitely keep an eye on how the two compare.0

Make sure your settings are the same in both applications! I set MFP to sedentary and log my exercise on Fitbit, not MFP! On MFP I only log my food. I measure my exercises with a heart rate monitor, log the exercise on fitbit and so far this works very well. So for me, food on MFP and exercises on fitbit.
Hope this helps?
