Calorie cycling

I know about calorie cycling when you have one higher calorie day and then one lower calorie day, but has anyone ever had one huge day and then a very low week. Example: I am a 37 year old male. I'm 5'6" tall. I weigh 136 and have 12% body fat. I ate around 8000 calories last Monday. then for the rest of the week I ate around 1200-1400 calories. keeping my protein at around 135, my carbs at around100-150, and my fat at around 30-40. Do you guys think that its okay to do it this way. Just trying out different ways to eat.
