Under active thyroid

Soooooooooooo discouraged!!!! I have counted calories and exercised but cant seem to lose weight. I recently started taking CLA...not sure if it really help. I have NEVER been one to take supplements but at this point I am so desperate. I am 5"4 and weigh 186. I feel so fat and obese. Anybody out there have underactive thyroid and seen results? Any encouragement or tips would be great!

Hello! I have the same issue. I thought I had PCOS, but my doctor told me it was my thyroid. So, I can totally understand how you feel. I've only lost 53lbs in a year and I work out alot. My eating hasnt been the best because it really is discouraging to know that we have to put in triple hard work to acheive results. Just stay with whatever your doing. You will get there. You can add me for mutual support. Good blessing on the journey :flowerforyou:

I have Hashimoto's (autoimmune thyroid disease) and lost weight more slowly than most, so be patient! But I did it just like everybody else—by eating at a deficit. Read this: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1080242-a-guide-to-get-you-started-on-your-path-to-sexypants
