Coconut oil

Just bought some Organic, unrefined, extra virgin coconut oil to add to my smoothies. Anybody know if it's really a good choice to add the fat to a morning smoothie before working out?

It's fine as long as it agrees with you. Personally, I have to be careful with it because it contains mostly medium chain triglycerides and can cause accelerated gastric emptying (not a pleasant experience I can assure you).0

Would that be the new coconut oil cleanse everyone is raving about?0 -
I would be careful with coconut oil. A tablespoon has 120-140 calories. Make sure it fits in with your daily goals. Personally, I'd rather have a greek yogurt or two eggs and get some protein for those cals.0
