The Offspring- Gone Away...it hits home from the passing of my brother
Makes sense - I'm sorry for your loss.
For me it's Radiohead's 'No Surprises' - it came out the year my Mom died - summed up everything i felt at the time.0 -
Same Love - Macklemore + Ryan Lewis.
Hurt- Johnny Cash cover
You've Got a Friend- James Taylor
Last Letter Home- Dropkick Murphys
The Living Years- Mike & the Mechanics
The James Taylor and Mike & the Mechanics songs are because of the people associated with them, but holy cow, this makes me realize I am a big, huge wuss.0 -
I'm not really the crying type, but I definitely have 2:
"House" - Ben Folds
That song exactly describes how I felt every day between the day my son died and the day we moved out of the house that he died in. It evokes so many bittersweet emotions/memories.
And the "Hot Dog!" song from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, for the same exact reasons (he was 3 months when he passed and that song was a part of our morning routine).
I know it doesn't help, but I'm so very sorry for you.0 -
Elephants by Rachel Yamagata. I usually have to skip it on my ipod because it's just too intensely sad.

Lots of music is emotional in an unpleasant way. Some that leap to mind for me are
Into the Mystic - Van Morrison
Almost Home - Craig Morgan
This Is The Time - Billy Joel0 -

He stopped loving her today - George Jones
this one. One of the best songs ever!
Also...
Cowboy Rides Away - George Strait
If You're Reading This - Tim McGraw0 -
I cant say that I've ever had a song that's made me cry.0

Don't Stop Belilevin".....cause it reminds me of Tony Soprano getting whacked in the last episode....
So sad.......0 -
"The Little Girl" by John Michael Montgomery makes me cry every time.0
-
Beatles - The Taxman0
-
LL Cool J - Father0
-
Skyline Pigeon by Elton John
Hallelujah- Jeff Buckley
Blue Skies- Willie Nelson
They each remind me of someone who is no longer with me. I added to my list last week with The Battle Hymn of the Republic. It was one of my grandmother's favorite songs and a full choir sang it at her funeral last week.0 -
"I'm always chasing rainbows, when the clouds appear" Judy Garland0

Ronan by Taylor Swift. I can't even read the lyrics without tearing up, I can't imagine losing a child.
I can still feel you hold my hand
Little man, and even the moment I knew
You fought it hard like an army guy
Remember I leaned in and whispered to you
Come on baby with me
We're gonna fly away from here
You were my best four years0 -
I have never liked Daughtry. I now hate him for making me sob at the Mr. G and Jellybean video. Stupid goat. Stupid donkey.
