I made this on Sunday and put them in small containers for our breafast for a few days.

2 apples, peeled, cored and diced into small chunks
1 cup steel cut oats
1 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
1 1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons brown sugar (I added more at the end to make it a little sweeter)
1 1/2 tablespoons butter cut into small pieces
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon ground flax seed or chia seeds
1/4 teaspoon salt
Optional toppings - chopped nuts, rasins, maple syrup

Coat the inside of your crockpot with cooking spray. All all ingredients (except optional toppings). Stir and cook on Low for approx 6 hours.

This made about 6 - 1 cup servings. To reheat, add a splash of milk, stir and reheat for 1 - 1 1/2 minutes in the microwave.

mmm yummo! I love steel cut oats - they're really hard to find around these parts but I love a good crockpot recipe!
