Little Changes With Big Results

There may be an article posted similar to this, but I haven't seen one as of yet... So I'm going to go ahead and start one!

I want to know from all of you, what little changes did you make in your weight loss journey that had big results?

For instance, years ago, I cut-out regular soda and switched to diet (now I'm going to water only); but I found that helped cut-down my weight by 10 lbs almost instantly!

So what are some of your little changes that had a huge impact on your weight?

Broke my addiction to seven-eleven apple fritters. Seriously. Grease-laden-sugar-dough-deep-fried-and-dipped-in-sugar seven-eleven apple fritters. Two at a time.

This is my deepest, darkest secret. Don't tell anyone, okay?

    - gave up cream and sugar in my coffee
    - I no longer eat chocolate ALL day long. I was going through a pound of M&Ms and Reese Cups weekly.
    - I exercise every day and I am loving it.
    - I drink lots of water, a cup of warm lemon water and a cup of green tea every day.

    Drink LOTS of water
    Cut the sugar from coffee
    Cut the honey from tea
Upped my veggie and protein intake
Quit eating a snack after 8pm
Joined the Y and started running....down 11 pounds so far (might be down more like 15, but I didn't weigh myself to start with).

On the weekends, I bake batches of cookies/snacks for the kids lunches (we have 5 kids). Instead of leaving these in one container in the pantry, I bag them all up individually and freeze them in a larger container. Out of sight, out of mind. I used to eat as many as I want, whenever I want.

Gave up soda (alongside the healthier food) and lost 16 pounds in 2 weeks!
Also slowly decreased the sugar I'd have in my tea, I'm now down to about 1/3 what i'd usually use, and anyone else's tea is always too sweet for me.

Also, portioning things beforehand. Good stuff. Keeps you aware of how many portions you're eating.

Instead of having a meat, grain, and a veggie at a meal, we switched to a meat and 2 or 3 veggies meal.
