"'I'D EAT A BUNCH OF EGG WHITES, FILET MIGNON, CHICKEN, FISH, OATMEAL, BROCCOLI, ASPARAGUS, A BAKED POTATO, CREAM OF RICE, SALAD, AND COMPLEX CARBS.'"
He adds: "It was all about hard work, discipline, and balance. I had carbs with every meal, so there was always a balance of proteins, carbohydrates, and fats. Then part of my daily regime was my glucosamine and then also a multitude of multivitamins. Then I had glutamine, branched-chain amino acids, chondroitin, and one protein shake a day, which I drank after training."

I know I know, there will be a bunch of angry posts about how he shouldn't eat carbs lol

I really hate those people who discrimate against carbs! Dang Carbists!!!

and lets not forget when these movie and sports stars are getting in ripped shape that is THEIR JOB to do so, and many have nutritionist, chefs, etc, to cater to the perfect foods they need.
Unlike the rest of us who have to work full time and still do our own cooking.

i know right. Atkins has all thes e people loading up on red meat, bacon and butter but God forbid they eat an apple or a bowl of oatmeal and certainly not a BALED POTATO - oh no! I feel ashamed even mentioning that last one.

I think the programs that rule out certain things are just destined to set them up for failure.
I did atkins, and did well on it. Was very hard to sustain long term with too many restrictions.

If one just doesnt have a balance it makes it very difficult so now I strictly go with caloric deficit with exercise. No better way to go than that.
