dextox baths ....

I want to know if anyone has tried detox baths. I don't want to try it for weight loss, more for removing toxins from my body. I found a recipe on pintrest that includes Epsom salts, baking soda, apple cider vinegar and aroma oils.

If anyone has tried a dextox bath let me know what you used and how you felt afterwards :)

I did one with epson salt, baking soda and lavender essential oil. It was relaxing and I felt ready to go to sleep afterwards. I'd do it again just to de-stress.

Go for it if it relaxes you, a warm scented bath can definitely feel really good (hope I don't lose man-points saying that)....but as far as "detox" goes that part is hokum.

    This

I love epsom soaks for sore muscles. But there's no need to detox. Your body does it naturally if you have functioning liver, kidneys, and skin. And if you don't, then an epsom salt bath will not help you.

While there will no doubt be a science eruption of epic proportions in here, I can say confidently that I for one have seen great results cleansing through baths and showers. *nods* true story

Just remember to not take a hydrofluoric bath in a regular tub as the acid will eat through it. Best to use a polytetrafluoroethylene tub. Good luck!

I like hot baths a little too much. On slow weekends I might take up to four a day.

Epsom salts do pull out infections. It's well documented.
