Hi guys,

About to have an ACL reconstruction..been dealing with this injury for about 10 years now and finally I'm getting it looked after. It has prevented me from doing lots of physical activity…and now that i am getting it fixed I will be forced to sit on my *kitten* for a few weeks for recovery.

My biggest fear is that I will gain too much weight while being sedentary.

Any tips? food choices? calorie intake per day? exercises I can do while sitting or laying down that does not involve leg movements?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Well watch what you eat, if your not moving around as much, you might notice yourself putting on weight. Don't eat out of depression, Eat well, and drink water, maybe there are exercise you can do, research it or talk to a psychical therapist? Good luck. Your fear is not unfounded, I've read stories about people who never had to worry about their weight, until an injury happened, and their eating level caught up to them, since they weren't as active or having too much of the wrong things, they packed some weight on. Maybe you won't feel as hungry? I have no idea.
