I'm sure this is an annoying question for some of you, but I'm just starting out and would greatly appreciate any advice on how much I should be eating. I know it depends on a bunch of things, and I know of sites that will calculate it for you if you enter in all of your information, but for some reason I can't figure it out. I don't know if I'm stupid or what, lol.
I am 25 years old, 5'4, and 250 pounds, and my goal is to work out 3-5 days per week. I work as a nanny 2-3 days a week so am pretty active on those days, walking to and from the bus stop, running up and down stairs, lifting and carrying a pretty heavy 2 year old all day.
Any pointers would be awesome. I just want to make sure I'm doing this right and am eating enough! Thanks in advance for your help. :flowerforyou:

I have a link in my profile on to a video where I explain how to calculate calories and macros the super easy way. It should be enough to get you started then you can alter your goals based on your results. No calculator is perfect, some trial and error is going to be necessary.0

Yeah that site is great.. I'm definitely the kind of person that needs things spelled out for them so it's perfect. lol. The only thing is that it's saying to eat 2,000 calories.. does that sound right to you?? I'm at 1500 right now and originally started at 1200 (that's what I was always told to eat- by my family, friends, everyone but professionals so I just assumed they were right).... but I didn't feel like I was eating enough. I'm not regularly working out right now so 1500 seems good for now, but honestly I'm scared to eat 2,000 calories after all the years of being told otherwise.
Trial and error is something I'm new at, so I'll just have to push through it and figure it out. I give up so easily it's ridiculous but I'm going about everything in such a different way than I did before that I think I'm over that phase. I guess we'll see.
Anyhow, thanks to everyone who replied!!0
