I've recently gotten hooked on smoothies. Below I will post the base recipe, and below that I will have some good combinations. This will make a whole blender of smoothie, which can be divided between meals or used to replace a meal.

3 cups unsweetened almond milk (30 calories per cup)
1/2 cup ice
1-2 packets spenda OR 1-1/2 packet sugar-free, fat-free pudding mix (pudding mix is 100 per packet, so you'll be looking at 50 - 100 calories)

now here are some tasty combinations, feel free to change them to fit preferences:
1 cup frozen watermelon + 1/2 packet vanilla pudding + 2 tbsp matcha powder (256 calories total, using 3 cups almond milk)
1 cup pureed pumpkin + 1/2 vanilla pudding (220)
1 cup frozen strawberries + 1/2 cup vanilla/cheesecake pudding (I prefer to use greek yogurt for this one, but it adds calories) (190)

These may be "low calorie" but it's also low-nutrition. I like to augment my smoothies with vanilla no-carb Isopure protein whey. It makes the smoothie more of a proper meal in terms of nutritional value.

Have you tried using fresh fruit/veggies instead of mixers for your shakes? I'm having a smoothie everyday at the moment, and it's pretty much a 500ml cup, and they never go above 300 calories, even when I add maple syrup in them. And that's the fruit ones, with lots of sugar. The vegetable options (if you can stand them) are even more low cal, and it's a lot of fibre too.

Yes, I'd add some protein powder too.

I tend to go with lowfat greek yogurt and whatever frozen fruit I happen to have in the freezer. Great tip: If you freeze your bananas (peel off), you can toss it in the blender in place of ice for a great texture.

Most of the frozen fruit I use is fresh that I bought in bulk. I just like to add the pudding mixes because it thickens them, although tofu or greek yogurt works, too.

I'm not a big fan of veggie smoothies XD Maybe I just haven't found one I like?
