Hi guys! I was just wondering has anyone tried gelatin as a protein supplement instead of protein powder. The thing is I can only consume kosher/halal protein powders and where I live I can't find any, so I'll have to order online and shipping charges just make it too expensive. My daily dietary intake of protein comes to around 60 gm and by the time i reach 60 gm of protein with real foods im too stuffed to eat anything else ,so I need to add a supplement. Any suggestions would be great :)

I don't know the nutritional value of Kosher gelatin, regular unflavored gelatin has apx. 10g protein per packet and 30 calories. There are many good protein powders available which can provide up or over 30g of protein for up 200 calories per serving. Nutritional Yeast provides 8g per 2 TBL for 45 calories. Peas, Mukimame beans, etc are great protein sources. Have you made the best choices for the foods you've picked? Tuna, chicken and beef are excellent sources of protein.

I haven't tried looking at your diary so I do not know what you are eating.
