How many grams of protein does a "very active" 5'9", female, 145-150 lb (static I can't bulk) person need? I kick box (intense full contact a lot of the time) 3xs a week and weight lift heavy (for me anyway) 2xs a week. I have 2 rest days. I need to up my calories but when I add in more calories my protein % goes down as I get my calories up. I'm on 2600 calories a day and below my goal weight of at least 145. I need to up my calories and keep my protein right.
I have celiac (gluten free) , but don't eat "clean", low carb, etc...
TIA!

I'd say 1 g per lb of bodyweight or AT LEAST 1 g per lb of LBM. I'm 5'5" 135 lbs and I take in 130-160 g protein per day. You can tailor MFP settings to suit you. I did. I have mine set up to 45% carbs/30% protein/25% fat. Seems to be working fine for me. And don't be afraid to go over your protein goal on MFP - it's not a limit, it's a recommendation.0
