Diet Plan

I seem to be having a hard time finding a diet plan. I'm not terribly picky. I am not big on pork, or fish. I don't eat tomatoes. That's all I can think of. I'm 5'11, 167. I would like to get down to 155. I just started at the gym yesterday. I want to eat better, and lose a few pounds & yes.. I have googled diet plans. Haha.

You don't need a specific diet plan. Just follow MFP.
With only 12 lb to lose, set your goals to lose 0.5 lb per week. Weigh, measure and log everything you eat. Eat back exercise calories.
Eat whatever food you like that fits your calorie and macro goals.0 -

My advice is to not diet at all. Eat what you want as long as it fits into your caloric goal. Don't avoid any foods because no food is "bad." Diets are temporary - if you want to keep the weight off, you need to change the way you eat. Moderation, portion control...you get my drift. If you're not planning on eating that way forever, don't do it.0

You make it sound so easy & it probably is. Whenever I eat something that I think is bad for me, I give in and eat terrible the rest of the day ! :O0 -
I think you might be talking about what is more commonly called a meal plan, not really a diet plan.
Even though most of us use MFP, we don't really just eat random foods, log them, then stop. A lot of people have common meals an dsnacks that help them hit their goals.
Maybe read through this for ideas: http://www.muscleforlife.com/healthy-meal-planning-tips/

I used to do this as well. What helped me stop that is pre-logging. I've pre-logged my weekday meals through next Friday and a little into the next week as well. You don't have to go that far ahead like I do, but instead of just eating things as they come, plan your meals ahead of time and log them so you know what you can eat. Include foods that you like, as long as it fits into your calories. It does become easy after awhile.0
