Worried About Maintenance...

Hi Everyone!
I'm about to reach my goal of 20 lbs lost. I did this by going to the gym 6x a week, speedwalking 3+ mi daily during lunch - burning on average 1k calories a day. I eat 1200 (or more if I work out) cal a day. It's all real food (B - Veg/Fruit Smoothie, L- Salad or Lentils, D - Regular Meal w/Family). I wanted to lose weight the right way but reach it at an accelerated rate.
I'm now gearing to slow down soon but am afraid it will all come back because I've been on such a rigorous regime.
If I cut down to "maintenance" calories consumed and slow down to the Gym 3x a week, theoretically, I should not gain all of it back right? or do you think because I was on such a rigorous weight loss schedule, my body will flip out and gain it all back?
Worried
Thank You

Just continue to eat healthy (just a bit more) and stay active. You'll be fine. Congrats!!0

Personally, when I was losing weight, I did not eat most of my exercise calories back (because that calculation is relatively inaccurate compared to food calories). Then when I got to maintenance I reduced my exercise (which put me at less of a deficit) AND added calories. Because I am small and older, my TDEE is pretty close to my BMR, -- there isn't a lot of difference between the two -- so there isn't a lot of room to add calories and stay in a deficit. Unfortunately in addition to reducing my exercise I am eating more than I should for maintenance because I WANT to have pizza and pasta and sweets more often, so have gained weight. If I'm realistic, it's the calorie math, not my body "flipping out." Good luck. Watch your calories.0
