Hey guys, my name is Torres, 22 years old, 138lbs, and hopefully I get some motivation, guidance, and advice here. I've always wanted to be fit, but laziness has gotten the best of me. Last year I was frail as hell who couldn't do over 10 push-ups, 30 sit-ups, and no pull-ups. When I enlisted into the military, me and my bud trained together since me working out on my own pace wasn't improving myself at all. He was already fit himself unlike me, which motivated me to do my best to try and catch up. I eventually got to the minimum physical fitness standards to actually past physical fitness test, but now it's not enough for me to feel accomplished. I've realized that I have an extremely weak core because the way I do planks and push ups, my body starts to sag down close to the ground. Flutter kicks, leg lifts, and scissor kicks devastates me, but I'm somewhat improving because I can actually keep me legs up without my heels touching the ground. I've only been pushing myself hard when I work out during morning PT with other students at my command. I want to be stronger, not technically bigger, focusing on calisthenics instead of weights. If you have any workout routines that could help, please let me know.
