Someone stop me please!

I am struggling today, sitting at my computer, at a job I hate and really unmotivated to do it. I have been really good at eating at a consistent-ish level of 15-1600 calories for the past 2 weeks, after a couple of months of extreme over and undereating (and my weight corresponding to those ups and downs). Today, for the 2nd dayin a row, I am under my top limit of 58kg for maintenance (aiming to range 56-58kg), so I don't want to jeopardise this good trend, since my weight has previously gone up to nearly 62kg after a weekend of serious overeating.
I haven't been depriving myself of anything over the past 2 weeks - check out my diary. I am planning on making pizza and I've already made a rice pudding for dessert for tonight. I am also planning on baking cookies and cheesecake on the weekend, and have already accounted for them in my diary (allowing myself one scoop of dough and one finished product of each cookie).
My problem is that I am feeling really hungry RIGHT now. Normally when this mood has hit before I've just gone home and 'worked' from there, but in reality I've baked and eaten lots and I don't want to sabotage myself just when I seem to be getting things working in the right direction.
In terms of exercise, normally I ride 10km to work and back, but today I got a lift in and my husband and I are planning on going for a long walk after dinner (the pizza and rice pudding) instead.
Somebody please stop me from calling to get picked up early so I can go in the kitchen and eat!

Oh, and I've been drinking lots of water, already had one mug of green tea, I've brushed my teeth several times now as well. I just need to have that self-control (which I know by definition needs to come from within)!0

Do you have a snack @ work that you can nibble on until dinner time? Or take a break from work and walk around the block. Drink some water. YOU are in control of this.0

plan a snack you can survive that will be filling. Do you have chicken breast at home? eggs? Whole wheat bread?
What would happen if you had a stir-fry made with chicken breast and vegetables when you got home, slathered in soy sauce and honey? Woudl that work for you?
What about a chicken noodle soup sachet, with some sauteed chicken breast cubed into 1/4 inch cubes thrown into it, and some frozen peas and corn, with a slice of bread and 1 tsp olivani or similar?
Think of a snack that is going to help you. 'The bikkies won't help you. You'll be starving two minutes after you ate them.
What can you get yourself that'll totally fill you up?
And go have a cup of milo or something. Hot cocoa or something. I always have a hot cocoa with a snack when I am hungry because it makes all the difference.0 -
those little protein bars you get quite cheap at the supermarket: i love the chocolate and raspberry ones. They are FILLING with a capital F. and only 250 cals or so.0

Popcorn, carrots, celery, Lettice w/Mrs dash and Portman's salad dressing, animal cracker cookies, cheerios w/50 calorie Almond Silk milk, coffee, splash of white grapefruit juice over ice w/water, grilled or stemmed veggies and chicken. That about sums up my diet.0

I've just had a mandarin (and brushed my teeth). I know that's not that filling, but it was really yummy. I was thinking about walking around the block, but it's just started raining.
I don't really want to eat anything like chicken stir-fry or noodle soup - I only have 150 calories left for the day once I account for the pizza and dessert (which I am NOT missing out on!). I love protein bars, and make them at home - already had one today though.
I know some people would suggest, just have something and go over for the day, it's just one day. But I've had that mentality for too long and the days over have become too much like the norm. I'm trying to be very disciplined, at least for this month, just to check out that my calorie level is set correctly for my level of activity and weight goals.
Thanks for the suggestions though!0 -

Just read your diary! You eat very well! You eat better than most people on this site. But are you diabetic? Why do you have an evening snack? I only have 3 meals a day but I'm not diabetic and I know that snacks are needed.0 -

No, it's not an evening snack - that's just where I put everything I eat that doesn't fall under the breakfast, lunch or dinner! For example, I had my raw energy bar around 10am, my mandarin at 2pm and I'll have the rice pudding after dinner.
And thank you for saying I eat well - made me feel warm and fuzzy inside! No, not diabetic, but gluten intolerant.0 -
Thanks guys - moment has now passed. I can't get picked up for another half an hour now, and then we'll be going shopping for the supplies for pizza, and then I'll be making the pizza so I won't eat until dinner now.
Thanks again for the suggestions and support. Greatly appreciated.0 -
my trick is eating vegetables. they are low calorie and you can basically trough on them they also will keep you feeling full for a long time. sweet foods and starchy foods will make you want to eat more sooner. hope this helps0
