Memorial day weekend please think, be safe, and enjoy your freedom. Remember this weekend is not about the beginning of summer fun, no it is about the soldier, the men and women who have given up so much for us Americans to be the great nation we are. Thank you Vets and also your welcome America.

    Isn't that the truth. It is officially Memorial Day weekend. I got my "poppy" at lunch and thanked both the vet and his wife. (She gave me an extra poppy to put away for Veteran's Day.

    Yes I gave my time to serve but to me it was not a sacrifice ,it was an honor to serve our great nation. It is the family members that sacrifice more....not seeing their dad (or mom) for months at a time...they are the true heros.

    I'll remember to give a $50 to the poor vet that sits outside of our mall, poor guy... He's in a wheelchair, I always give him whatever change I have..
