Not seeing any progress...

..in fact, I have been gaining weight little by little. I've been eating well for the last 5 days (keeping it at or below 1250 calories), exercising when I can (I didn't log the exercise, but I have been walking approx. 2 miles per day) and I'm not seeing any kind of drop, just gain. Am I doing something wrong?

I agree with ^^^^. 5 days is not enough time to see results. You didn't put on the weight in 5 days, why would you expect it to magically dissapear in 5 days?0

yeah, it's impatience and not eating enough. You have to eat back those calories you burn off. 2 miles a day? that's a lot of exercise. you aren't going to lose weight if you don't fuel your body. Sounds strange I know, but eating too little can prevent you from losing weight over time. Just eat back your calories and give it a little more time. You'll get there sweetie.0

5 days? Really?
You can take a **** and get a 5 day variation. Give it a month or two.
you need at the very least 3 weeks before you can claim it isnt working. it sucks but be patient, the human body holds onto alot of water when things change up
also one of your other posts said you are 5'7 and 180 ish lbs. 1250 cals/day will be too low for someone of this size, you should be at least at 1500, especially if you are exercising0 -

Weight loss is not linear even though it seems like it is sometimes and definately seems like it should be.
Basically, you need to give yourself a month or two of weighing and tracking everything. Keep within your calorie goal as much as possible and logging your exercise as accurately as possible.
If, after two months, you're not seeing steady progress, then make some adjustments. If within those two months you see nothing but gradual or substantial weight gain, then you are not measuring your calories correctly somewhere. If you don't see any change within that time...again, you aren't tracking something correctly.
TL;DR - track as accurate as possible, give it time0 -
Have some patience and wait a little longer. It usually takes 2-3 weeks to start seeing even small results. Try to do strength training activities in addition to your walking - you can do squats, push-ups, lunges, step ups and many other great muscle builders at home with no equipment.

You've already lost 5lbs (per your ticker)..... so you were doing something right!
but I will echo the majority here...5 days is not near enough time. You need at least 2 weeks... preferably a month to really gauge progress. With only 35lbs to lose it will be slower - maybe 1lb per week. Be patient.
Are you truly eating 1250? Do you log and weigh every little thing you eat/drink? If not you could be over estimating and eating much more than you think.
So:
1) Be patient
2) Weigh and log everything
3) move more
4) be patient0 -

For the sake of discussion, let's say that this has been happening for more than 5 days. People are correct that trends should be viewed in term of weeks.
That said, when someone says they're eating 1250 calories/day and that they're gaining weight instead of losing, my knee jerk response to call shenanigans on logging accuracy.0 -

.Last year, mid December I hit 200 pounds, which was my heaviest. I did the Master Cleanse because I had heard good things and didn't bother to do any research. I lost 11 pounds in 7-ish days. Since then, I went back to eating what I wanted and being super lazy. I didn't gain any of that weight back and was still at 189 pounds til about March when I got angry at myself for not doing anything and not losing anymore weight and I pretty much started starving myself. That is how I got down to 180 pounds by mid-April. Since then, I started eating normally again and didn't put any of the weight back on. Now I am actually trying to lose weight properly and I ALWAYS guess on the high side of calories and I don't record my working out, which has included doing nearly every challenge on that 30-Day Challenges website for the last 5 days. My roommate said he thinks I look smaller than 5 days ago, but I don't think so and I haven't seen any change on the scale except upwards when I weigh myself every morning at the same time and after using the facilities. I guess I'm just expecting it to happen faster than it does. I've considered doing the Master Cleanse again but I'm worried about some of the research I read saying it isn't good for you, and I am afraid I might lose whatever muscle I actually do have if I'm not eating.0

How exactly are you logging? Coming off the "master cleanse" you were probably dehydrated, and your colon was Gianna clean.0 -
If you get concerned by not being able to see progress over a 5 day period you are in for a bumpy ride. This is going to take patience and noticeable progress will come on the scale of several months not several days.0

I get my measurements for calories by package information. For example, I had a salad the other day with some of the imitation crab meat and string cheese. The package of salad said it contained 3 servings, each being 15 calories so there's 45. The string cheese was 80 calories for the one stick that I had and the whole package of crab meat was 80 calories. I cut it all up, mixed it up and had that for lunch. According to all those packages, that should have only been 205 calories. Is that information right or should I be taking those calorie information labels with a grain of salt? And that will fill me up for some time, so on some days I have issues even meeting the 1250 calorie goal because I am just full and not hungry in the slightest.0

Grain of salt. Labels are allowed a decent margin for error. Depending on how calorie-dense the packaged item is, that margin could represent a fair number of calories. Also with so few calories to work with as a goal, even small margins of error can result in larger impacts to your daily intake.0 -
This morning, the scale said 180. I got to my heavy weight by eating tons of junk food and doing no exercise. I stayed at 175 for a long time like that, but in July of last year, I started drinking pretty heavily on top of all that junk food and by November, I had put on 25 pounds. I have since cut back on my drinking and I think that probably helped.
So weighing is pretty much the only option for getting as close to accurate numbers as possible?0 -
