  • What are ups and downs? I tried googling it... Is there another name for it?

    Sorry but all I can contribute is that I hate, hate, hate lunges. Every time I've tried them I've had issues. I just don't do them any more.

    Saaame.. I just do squats and its variations. Can't stand lunges

    im pretty sure they mean pulse lunge you get in lunge position and stay in it just pushing down then up .you can use dumbells in both hands. Im fine with lunges but i only hold 15lbs in each hand and dont rush them i make sure i have complete balance after stepping out before i sink down. And i have to do them in front of mirror or i get wobbly . I have iffy knees but they dont bother me. Some people also find reverse lunges easier. Balvarian split squats will really work your quads too.

    A few things. squats and deads on the same day is fine for a while, as you keep getting stronger you may find the need to do them on different days.

    prehab and rehab, look up agile eight on youtube

    and ditch the trainer. I think 5 x 5 would be better than what he has you doing now.
