Roller Skating as fitness

Does anybody hit the parks on a sunny day and relieve their childhood? I was thinking of getting a pair of rollerblades (not in-line - I can never find my balance on those! :noway: ) and didn't know what kind of other equipment I should look at. Any ideas?

I used to roller skate for cardio! I love it! Then I got into competing and it got expensive lol. Message me with any and all questions!

If you are into Ice hockey you can get a "roller hockey" set on amazon. We had in Greece a "roller hockey" team. We used children soccer goals and ice hockey sticks, and there are special rubber/gel balls instead of pugs. It was a lot of fun. We played on a tennis court where we could move the net. You can also use the surface of a basketball court.

Great work-out and your glute muscles will burn!

I just bought a pair of inline skates and went for the first time last night in about 10 years. I'd definitely say some wrist and knee pads. I'm apparently terrible and I'm not that good at stopping yet but it makes me feel better knowing if I fall there's something there other then pavement lol.

Love rollerblading! I found a great pair at Goodwill, the wheels can snap on and off so you can walk in the boots. Which is handy when I get to parts of the trail that aren't paved. Good luck and have fun!

I'm no good on skates personally. But I think it's a good idea if you enjoy it!!!
