I'm a nursing student and being in class all day I am looking for healthy, tasty, cheap, and easily packed snacks that are good for you and last a while in your belly. So any suggestions for everyone would be great....things that I can find at Walmart.
Thanks a million!

Low fat string cheese (the kind for kid's lunches) and yogurts
I love your mini-goals, BTW0 -
snyders butter snaps pretzels are good 24 pretzels for only 120 cals.
I like to make my own snack mixes with the pretzels, rosemary & olive oil triscuits (3 crackers for 60 cals), special k snack crackers, mini teddi grahams, baked goldfish crackers (I like the pretzel ones, but most are pretty reasonable) multigrain cheerios, snack size boxes of raisins or cranberries, or if I need chocolate, 12 plain m & ms are only 34 cals.
I like the prepackaged 100 cal. snacks but they are kind of expensive. if you shop at target - archer farms organic real fruit strips are good & only 45 cals. I also like archer farms granola bites (mini granola bars) clif kids bars are good too. Happy snacking.0 -
Kashi CRUNCHY bars.. not the chewy ones- too much sugar. The pumpkin seed flax or roasted almond ones are my favorite.. only 170 calories for both bars (2 in a package) and are very filling (might I add, delicious as well) and good for you!0

I'm a huge fan of apple slices, especially Honey Crisp apples. They're sweet, they're satisfying, and an apple is only 80-100 calories each. Pears also travel well and satisfy my sweet tooth.
Soyjoy's are wonderful for a quick, super filling bite at work. 130 calories each, they're primarily soy and dried fruit. They're moist and fruity, super easy to carry around, and if need be I can eat one in three bites with one hand while I push a road case with the other. Often times my work schedule prevents me from eating on a consistent schedule, and Soyjoy's tide me over until my next meal.
And of course, my recently discovered favorite is cottage cheese and pineapple, especially if you can use fresh pineapple. Super yummy with a ton of protein.
Best of luck!0 -
