Any northern Brooklynites...?

Anyone around the Williamsburg/Greenpoint area? I live in East Williamsburg and was wondering if there's anyone in the area who's interested in a weight loss buddy?
I've just started this week...
I am trying to be more aware of what I eat through logging on MFP and staying on or under goal (which has also changed as I bought a Fitbit to more accurately measure my activity through the day, and as I learn more about BMR and TDEE, thanks to this website). So far it's been really great; I tried MFP last year but didn't stick with it for more than a day because I found calorie-counting and food-measuring too much of a pain in the *kitten*, but I guess I must be more serious this time because I actually enjoy seeing how much I eat and its caloric values. I really like having a caloric "budget" for the day and standing strong when I have to tell my husband I can't have so-and-so food with him because it's not in my budget.
Right now my main physical activity is walking, sometimes hitting the track at McCarren park for a while. My goal is to gradually build myself up to jogging/running again -- I did some running for the first time in my life about 3 years ago and lost weight and felt great, but fell off it once the cold weather kicked in and never managed to pick it up again, sadly.
I'm also a little nervous because I just accepted a job yesterday that's based in NJ, which will mean approx. 3 hours of sitting on my butt in the car daily, but hopefully I can find ways to stay active on the job. Still, it might interfere with my exercise goals; shall see.
Anyway, even if you're not from northern Brooklyn or even NYC, feel free to add me as a friend if you like - I could do with some MFP buddies
Cheers.
