In a funk- need advice

Hi, all: I have been working on losing weight for a little more than two years. I have gone up 10 pounds due to stress and motivation issues. I am currently moving soon and I know I will miss my current gym; the facility itself and the people as they have been supportive of my weight loss. Anybody have any advice as to how I can get out of this funk? I think I am having trouble going to the gym because I know I will miss it :(

Enjoy your current gym while you still have access to it! Think of the move as an adventure. Of course you'll miss the old - but now you'll get to experience new things. You've got a chance for a whole new you. A new home, a new gym, and a new smaller you. Have you researched gyms in the new area? Maybe that could help? Give you something to look forward to?

Change - no matter what it involves - is hard for most people. Changing gyms, when you like your gym is a challenge. Do you remember your first day at this gym? You will learn to love your new gym, if you give it a chance.

While you're making the move, concentrate on stress relief and eating well. Keeping the weight off is about our calorie deficit and that's something you can do without your gym.

Good luck in your new life situation! :flowerforyou:

New gyms, free trial passes, pools, tennis courts, nice people, free snacks, oh the pain, basket ball courts, free stuff in the locker rooms...

That's the good part about researching a new gym. But I know I'd miss my current one if I had to leave!
