Thyroid Question

So my physician has performed blood tests to verify my thyroid is fine and there are no issues or concerns there. I went in for a check up the other day and she basically said that my thyroid is huge and is sending me for an ultrasound to check it...has this happened to anyone else and what was the outcome? I am interested to see if there is some issue that is causing me to have a harder time losing weight because it's always been a huge struggle for me. I am not laying blame, I absolutely believe my size is due for the most part by my unhealthy lifestyle in the past. Wondering if there is something going on though that has not been caught and will help me lose easier. Any thoughts/stories/advice is definitely welcome. Thanks!!!!

I would wait until you have the ultrasound to worry about your thyroid. People speculating what it might be on a public forum is basically useless. It could be anything from you simply having a genetically larger thyroid then most people to something very serious. Let the medical professionals handle it.0

I have Hashimoto's (autoimmune thyroid disease), which was diagnosed by blood tests & an ultrasound.

I lost weight more slowly than most, so be patient! But I did it just like everybody else—by eating at a deficit. Read this: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1080242-a-guide-to-get-you-started-on-your-path-to-sexypants0
