Do you own a Heart Rate monitor?

No I actually don't. Someone suggested that to me yesterday. They said they were will to do it
For a certain amount of money. How does it work and how much does it cost?

OK, hr monitor training 101. They use a sensor strapped around your chest which sends a signal to a unit you wear on your wrist. The signal measures how many beats per minute your heart is beating, and by calculating your age, weight, and the intensity at which your are exercising (how many beats per minute your heart beats), it gives you a fairly accurate reading of how many calories you have burned. Go to Polarusa.com. I use the FT4. I love it. It gives me my caloric output, has a couple of timers for intervals, gives how long I have been in my hr zones, and a few others. I bought it on Amazon for less than $70.00.

You don't need to spend a butt ton of money to get some fairly accurate information that will help you CONSIDERABLY.

Yeah, you need the technology to track it accurately, however, MFP does have a reasonable calculation if you manually enter in the type of exercise, duration etc. Best of luck!
