Drawbacks of night time eating

I eat fairly healthy and within a good low calorie range. My problem is sometimes I'm under calories after dinner. How bad is night time eating if you stay in your calorie goals. Am I better off going under my calories or eating just before going to bed? If I meet my calorie goals at dinner, I end up going over after dinner. (If you look at my diary, I'm on vacation this week for my husband's birthday.)

Nothing bad about it at all, your body can't tell the time!

Timing is irrelevant - I'd eat icecream...but that's just me :flowerforyou:

nope nothing bad about it...I eat at night all the time..specifically a cadbury milk chocolate bar...every night....(I know right)

My husband does shift work and does 2 days 2nights and he eats from 6pm to 6am and maintains quite well...

the only thing that will hurt weight loss is going over calories consistently regardless of the time.
