This is not fitness related at all, but I thought it would be ok in this forum. I was just wondering if there were any kindergarten teachers here from BC Canada. I am thinking of this as a possible career change in the future and I was just wondering what kind of schooling is involved. Trying to sort through the information on the internet is difficult sometimes. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks!

I'm not in the UK either, I'm in Canada, but there probably are still differences.

I know that if you already have a Bach degree here there are certain classess you "bump" out of (like the pre-reqs)...hope the job market in Canada for teaching is better than here is the US!!!

I'm not from BC, but went through teacher training in Ontario a few years back. If you have a bachelor's degree already, you would have to apply to a university that offers a one or two-year Bachelor of Education program. I'm not sure what universities in BC offer the program, but I'm assuming many do.

Hopefully the job prospects are better in BC than they are in Ontario. I taught in the UK for two years full-time and it's nearly impossible to break into the job market here, even with two years of experience!
