What do I wear?!

So! This is the deal folks. One of my BFF's is having a halloween party this Saturday, and I originally said I wasn't going to go. I have never been a huge halloween dressing up kinda girl, but she lives 1.5 hrs away and on a Saturday night? What else do I have going on? Nothing! So what the heck, I'll just suck it up and go.
Now lies the next question. What in the world should I go as? If anyone has any clever ideas-- I could go out and grab an outfit, or I can try to put something together with my own wardrobe....
Ugh, I am not at all creative, so any ideas you have would be wonderful. I'd love to show off my (newer) figure, 96 lbs lighter.....
Thanks in advance!

This is my all-time favorite costume:
Do you have a blue dress or could you find one? Add devil horns and a tail and a pitchfork and you're a devil in a blue dress for relatively little money. I actually made my horns and tail with a red hand towel, a headband, and a wire hanger. It took me an hour to sew it on and get it on the dress right.
Everyone thought it was a hoot.0 -
Other ideas:
My sister went as a "Black Eyed P" last year. She used make-up to give herself a black-eye and pinned a "P" to her chest.
This year, in a similar theme, she went as a "B" and carried her phone around all night and played "I'm a B" whenever anyone asked what she was. The B was on a chain around her neck.0 -
 You could also go to the thrift store and try to find an inexpensive wedding dress - tear it up and go as a zombie bride - and do some dark scary make up and some fake blood! Wedding dresses at our thrift's have gone up in price recently but you could find a white dress and get some material from the craft store to add to it with some simple stitching...and make a veil out of material too and glue it to a head band.0

I think you could totally rock a pin up girl costume
Do some searching for pics online, and then hit your local Halloween stores, although they can be pricey, you could always make your own. My local 'Spirit' Halloween store had pin up girls for as low as $14.99. Not sure what types of stores you have there, just a thought
Even a nice form fitting dress and heels and a nice 50s hairstyle and make up

I think I'll run out to the thrift store tonight.... and if I can't find something there, i'm sure Wally World (walmart) hahah might have something for cheap. But definately a sexy monster bride or pin up girl are sounding fabulous!0

Do you have a sequin dress, maybe red, you can wear fisnets, high heels, grab a boa at the Dollar Store, attach a feather to a headband and be a flapper! Definitely will show off your new bod!!0

If any of us are dressing up this weekend, I think we should all encourage each other to post pics!0

I dressed up last weekend (not as a devil in a blue dress, but as Violet from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory). My husband was Willy Wonka. I posted a pic to my profile, but I think you have to be a friend to see it, but feel free to add me if you so desire.0

If you have a black dress (you can add a white collar with some material) - get a black wig that you can braid into pig tails - paint your face white (cuz she is kinda pale) & go as Wednesday from the Adams Family. I did that one once! It was a great costume!
Also - a white dress - get some styrofoam balls & make a necklace - get a red wig (Lucille Ball wig works great) and go as Wilma Flintstone! I did that one too! :laugh:0
