Working Out in College? 6 days a week?

I'm concerned about going to college soon and having time to stay fit. I'm not going to be an engineer or a doctor or anything but I won't be taking basket weaving either. Would working out 6 days a week be too much? I don't mean just getting to college and just start right off the bat, i'll work my way up this summer and working out 6 days a week is not something i'm unfamiliar with to begin with. I'd mainly focus on running, yoga, and weight lifting- pilates if i can fit it in. My goal isn't necessarily to lose weight but to get in really good shape, become more flexible and strong, and get toned and have more confidence. I find fitness very interesting and i've always wanted to get in really good shape. My question is how feasible is that really when going to college and balancing classes, friends, papers, possible job, and breathing! All input would be great.

I'm a college student and I always found time for it! Find friends that like to workout too and you won't have to sacrifice social time. The key is to just DO it, so much that it becomes a habit. Once you realize you can talk yourself out of going to the gym you inevitably will.
Another piece of advice is eat healthy at the dining facilities! A lot of people treat it like a buffet everyday and end up looking like they eat at a buffet everyday because of it, its important to learn how to not cave into the peer pressure of everyone eating pizza and fries and fill up on the good stuff like fresh fruits and veggies.

Sign up for an exercise class. It can be challenging but certainly easier than when you have a 40+ hour a week job and possibly a family you are trying to balance with. Learn time management and prioritizing now! Good luck!0

I'm a 3rd year student and do cardio 3-4x a week and weights 3 times a week. I do it before classes and weekends, and if it starts to get too much I sometimes think ok, well I need to have an early night and get up early so that I can fit it in and study the rest of the day.
What may also help you is once you know your class times, make up a schedule table and slot those in, as well as your job and any social commitments you have, and then you've got an idea of which blocks of time are free for workouts each week.0 -
For me, it's not finding the time to workout that is hard but sometimes I do feel too tired to go after going to class, revision, etc. However, I can fit in about 6 days of workout per week (exception being Thursday when I have class till 8 at night, so that's my rest day). Planning ahead is the key.
You won't be perfect with your workout sessions all the time but that's OK. Just try your best and let it fall where it may. Even when you go out to the working world, similar thing is bound to happen.0
