2 a days?

Say I wanted to double up for a couple days right before a big event. I've been working out consistently but I want an extra boost right before an event for a couple days. Would it be more effective to double up on cardio or strength training, meaning abs and legs?

Two A Days can be super effective. I'm not a fitness instructor or anything but I've played hockey for 7 years and double days were a theme. umm here are a few personal suggestions:
- Strength Training will help you tone up but if you aren't use to it, you should probably not do it heavily every day, in order to prevent injury. An hour of heavy strength training every other day would be much more suitable.
Pilates is great for toning, I suggest doing some of that on days you aren't doing strength training. Blogilates has great videos and even greater results. I recommend The Ultimate Hot Body Workout and The Flat Belly Burner for quick results, they are challenging enough to see results quickly but not strenuous enough that they would injure yourself and you can do them everyday!
-Two Twenty Minute Tabata sessions a day will kick your butt and will certainly help you get in shape quickly. I suggest using burpees, mountain climbers, squat split jumps, and star jumps. Please look up these moves if you don't know how to do them!
- My suggestion: 20 minute tabata in the morning and evening. Strength training everyday for an hour once a day along with the tabatas but do the strength training first. Add some pilates in there. This is good enough to stick with and hard enough to see results.
-strech and eat right
-last tip: no heavy cardio the day before the event, it'll cause your stomach to bloat.
i hope this will help, even by no means am i a fitness instructor i hope i've helped. Remember to have fun at that event no matter how you look. You make the event, not your body!0
